Amanda Knerr is the senior associate director of Residence Life at The Pennsylvania State University. She received her B. A. degree in Psychology from Wittenberg University, her M. A. in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education from Ball State University and is a doctoral candidate in the Higher Education Administration program at Penn State University. Amanda is currently serving as chair-elect for ACPA’s Directorate for the Commission for Assessment and Evaluation. Assessment work has been a passion and a priority for Amanda since her time in graduate school. Amanda has worked to educate student affairs colleagues on the value of assessment, not only through her own institution, but through a variety of publications and presentations including being an invited faculty member at the Summer Institute on First Year Assessment, and ACPA and NASPA Annual conventions, and ACPA’s Assessment Institute and Residential Curriculum Institute. Amanda has published articles in the Journal of College and University Student Housing, Net Results, ACPA Developments, and the Assessment Update.
